Terms of Use

Effective date: January 14, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding contract between you and color-theory ("we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using color-theory, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

What color-theory Is

color-theory is a skill for AI coding assistants. It consists of markdown reference files and a CLI script (color-tool) that provide prompt instructions about color theory. It is not an application and not an AI model—it is a collection of text-based resources.

Installation

color-theory is installed by running a shell command that downloads the skill files to your computer. The installation script detects compatible AI coding tools (Amp, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI) and places the files in the appropriate skills directory. You are responsible for having permissions to create files in these directories.

How It Works

When you run /color-theory, the skill contents are sent to your AI coding tool as instructions. The AI provides color guidance based on these instructions. All processing occurs within your AI tool. We have no access to your code, files, AI responses, or any data processed.

Third-Party AI Tools

color-theory works with Amp, Antigravity (Google), Claude Code (Anthropic), Cline, Codex (OpenAI), Cursor (Anysphere Inc.), Kilo Code, OpenCode (Anomaly Innovations), Roo Code, Windsurf (Codeium), and Gemini CLI (Google). Your use of these tools is subject to their terms. We are not affiliated with these companies and make no guarantees about their services.

Your Code

You retain ownership of your code. We claim no rights to your code or any AI-generated output. We cannot access, view, or store your code.

No Warranty

color-theory is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees that output will be accurate, complete, or useful. You are responsible for reviewing and testing any changes before applying them to your code.

Limitation of Liability

color-theory shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of color-theory, including but not limited to: bugs or errors introduced to your code, lost data, security vulnerabilities, or any indirect or consequential damages. In no event shall liability exceed $100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify color-theory from claims arising from your use of color-theory or violation of these Terms.
